Gate Turrets in 0.1 - 0.4 systems are completely usless !
I am calling for CCP to either make them effective against all classes of ships including BS's or remove them altogether because the only classes of ships these turrets can kill with 100% effectiveness are Cruisers or Frigates. A suitably equipped BS can ignore Gate Turrets with no fear of losing a ship.
BTW - This includes Gate or Station Turrets not just Gate Turrets. |

What was your point again? That you can't afford a battleship and want to make pirating in cruisers and frigates easier?

Let me rephrase - Gate/Station Turrets in 0.1 - 0.4 systems are completely usless in keeping properly tanked BS's from ganking peeps. If the goal as to achieve this useless state of affairs then I stand corrected and I'll learn how to proply tank my BS's and join those who like to gank others.
Personally I find the use of such tactics as being just this side of chicken-sh_t but that's just me. On the other hand tanking a BS to withstand Gate/Station Turrets in 0.1 - 0.4 systems does seem to me to be a very nice "exploit" of game mechanics. Why CCP doesn't share this perspective amuses me - on the other hand I have long believed the worst PC rats in the game are really CCP employees in disguise. |

Yeah, I am a carebear with a -2.29 sec rating - LMAO !
But then I also ganked a Caracal whilst in my Scorpion just cuz it happened to warp into a belt where I was hunting in some named 0.2 system... the Caracal died really fast and I wasn't even trying to kill it much (actually the game CTD'd after I launched my drones and fired 2 missiles). My sec rating would be -5 by now had I not chosen to refrain from ganking so I don't get banned from 0.9+ systems.
